Julian Brockhurst has a deep background in growing businesses and building networks in international markets. He has led Business Development across the United States, UK and Australia. In the U.S. Julian steered a large multi-national serviced office provider expanding within the high-end corporate office environment.
Julian also guided a startup based in London where he worked across the EU expanding operations and assisting in policy changes to enable further growth. He has extensive experience in managing interstate and international teams and the communities that support them.
- Business Development and Sales Manager, Servcorp Julian oversaw the negotiation of multinational high-end office structures. He was responsible for the evaluation and development of the business technology roadmap to expedite growth. Julian oversaw the marketing strategy for North America and led national broker relationships and partnerships for all 22 U.S. locations. While with Servcorp, he built and implemented company-wide initiatives such as national broker growth program, management recruitment, community engagement and facility management training.
- Business Manager, Quarterdeck Julian was one of the first employees at Day8. He had overall responsibility for the strategy and performance of the Quarterdeck business vertical. Julian conducted key stakeholder management of governments, large sponsors, global partners and tourism boards. Working within a startup environment, he supervised Quarterdecks online marketing, app development, social media, UX, financial platform development, 10,000 yearly customer feedback data capture and campaign execution. Julian led a team of three full-time staff and 500 contractors, several partners, sponsors and venues across the EU. He spearheaded the development of a global recruitment procedure for over 150+ staff and subcontractors per year to assist in the rapid expansion of the business. During his time with Day8 the global community grew to over 90,000 individuals.
- Junior Development Manager, Leighton Properties With a background in the development of property, Julian worked with one of the world’s largest property developers. This involved conducting feasibility analysis for various vacant, mixed-use, commercial and residential development sites. He was responsible for the research into key trends, efficient development tools and technology to form the decision making on multi-million dollar sites. During his time at Leighton, Julian established a deep understanding of the leasing and contract negotiations of commercial and retail tenancies.
